Sets the name of a blip. A blip's name is a title which can be viewed through the game map.


API.setBlipName(NetHandle blip, string name);

Required Arguments

  • blip: The blip to set the name. This parameter input should be in NetHandle type.
  • name: The name to use on that blip. This parameter input should be in string type.

You can use long names, though when the blip name is very long it will be seen with seperated lines.

Usage example(s)


Sets names based on ID to any existing blip without a name.

var blips = API.getAllBlips();
for (int i = 0; i < blips.Count; i++)
    if (string.IsNullOrEmpty(API.getBlipName(b)))
        API.setBlipName(b, "Blip No." + i);
